There are several Training Sessions available. Training Sessions are MANDATORY for ALL volunteers. We have to make sure we're on the same page and that we're teaching the same material to the students.
Dates of Brain Day - week of March 9-13 (every day with AM and PM presentations)

There are 75 classrooms, which means we need 150 volunteers so please tell your friends!

NEW VOLUNTEERS
Please, attend one of the following training sessions. It's up to you which one you come to, but please do come to one of them.

Tues. Feb. 24 - 4:30 DSB1002
Wed. Feb. 25 4:30 DSB1002
Thurs. Feb. 26 4:30 DSB1002
Mon. March 2 4:30 DSB1002

The sessions should take about 1 - 1.5hrs depending on the number of questions etc.

RETURNING VOLUNTEERS

You do NOT have to attend any of the above training sessions but you do have to be up to date on a few changes to Brain Day:

1. The smell and taste module has changed - when you pick your packages you will be told about the changes (it will literally take 30 sec to explain)

2. You have to pick up and drop off ALL your Brain Day materials this year (no more school deliveries - good news because that means you can get yourself all organized the night before and don't have to run around the school looking for the Brain Box)

3. Volunteers are making the jello brains this year and transporting them to schools (will be in your materials package)

4. We are asking for a $20 deposit to cover the costs of materials and to have a firmer commitment to volunteer. You will receive your deposit back when you return the materials following completion of your presentations (cash or cheques are fine; make cheques out to Eva Knifed – there is no NCOG account because there are no funds to be put in it)

If you'd like to volunteer again this year please email me the following information:

i) your full name
ii) your email address
iii) your telephone number (whatever one you can be reached at the quickest and most often) - this is in case we have a last minute emergency and need to contact you
iv) the dates of your availability for March 9-13 and indicate if you'd like AM or PM
v) how many Brain Day presentations are you willing to do (minimum is one, max is whatever you want - we will try to schedule you for only one presentation but in case we are short on volunteers we'd like to know who can do more than one)
vi) can you drive to the schools?
vii) if you have a partner preference, please indicate it
